JEDDAH, KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA, March, 3, 2018 – HIMSS Analytics® announced today that King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre Family Medicine Clinic (KFSH&RC FMC) Jeddah has achieved the HIMSS Analytics Outpatient Electronic Medical Record Adoption ModelSM (O-EMRAMSM) Stage 7, an international benchmark for the use of advanced technology to improve patient care.
HIMSS Analytics developed the Outpatient Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (O-EMRAM) in 2012 as a methodology for evaluating the progress and impact of EMR systems at outpatient facilities. HIMSS Analytics ranks outpatient facilities in eight stages (0-7) with Stage 7 representing the highest level of EMR adoption. KFSH&RC FMC Jeddah is the second facility in the Middle East to achieve Stage 7 on the outpatient EMR model. The first was its sister facility KFSH&RC FMC Riyadh back in 2015.

The clinic sees an average of 500-600 patients daily. Family Medicine also cares for ill and injured employees and their families, manages immunizations, pre-natal care, infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, polio, chickenpox and more. Its Polyclinics perform assessments and referrals to the subspecialty clinics for patients requiring tertiary care. They also provide clinical service to patients with inter-current problems and follow-up treatment for patients from the Emergency Room.
