Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin Achieves HIMSS Analytics EMRAM Stage 6

Bangkok, March 3, 2018 – HIMSS Analytics® Asia Pacific announced today that Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin has achieved EMRAMSM Stage 6. The EMRAM award is an international benchmark for the use of advanced technology to improve patient care. This award makes Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin only the third hospital in Thailand to achieve Stage 6.

HIMSS Analytics developed the EMR Adoption Model (EMRAM) in 2005 as a methodology for evaluating the progress and impact of electronic medical record systems for hospitals in the HIMSS Analytics® Database. Tracking their progress in completing eight stages (0-7), hospitals can review the implementation and utilisation of information and technology applications with the intent of reaching Stage 7, which represents an advanced electronic patient record environment. Reaching Stage 6 is a result of focus, good direction and a steadfast commitment from leadership. Stage 6 institutions have established clear goals for improving safety, minimizing errors, and prioritizing IT implementations.

It is part of The Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Group that operates in all the major Thai cities. Its outpatient department, opened since January 2011, has a full range of medical services including general medicine, women’s care, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, dental, eye and other clinics.
