Summary: The HIMSS Analytics Mobile Technology Survey covers a wide array of topics impacting the use of mobile technologies in healthcare organizations. Key findings from the study revealed that nearly all of the survey respondents supply mobile technology to clinicians, most often laptops and workstations on wheels. However, use of tablet computers is expected to increase in the future. The majority of respondents, 83 percent, reported that physicians use mobile technology to provide patient care. Clinicians are most likely to use mobile technology to either look up patient information or looking up non-PHI health information.
