John P. Hoyt, FACHE, FHIMSS
Executive Vice President, HIMSS Analytics

John P. Hoyt is Executive Vice President, Organizational Services at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, the largest U.S. not-for-profit healthcare association focused on providing global leadership for the optimal use of information technology. HIMSS represents approximately 23,000 individual members, more than 380 corporate members and nearly 30 not-for-profit organizations that share its mission.

Hoyt joined HIMSS in 2008 as Vice President, Healthcare Organization Services, where he led the HIMSS organizational affiliate program that allows healthcare providers to join HIMSS as corporate members to help foster and grow IT professional identity throughout the organization. He also managed the HIMSS Senior IT Executive community, where senior-level leaders can connect with each other, contribute to HIMSS objectives and advocacy positions and continue to develop their professional careers through learning.

In 2010, Hoyt advanced to Executive Vice President position and is responsible for providing executive leadership and direction to HIMSS Analytics and other HIMSS departments focused on services or companies and organizations. Hoyt reports to HIMSS President & CEO H. Stephen Lieber.

Throughout his healthcare career, Hoyt has been instrumental in defining business and IT strategy as well as selecting, implementing and integrating mission-critical healthcare information systems across the enterprise. Before joining HIMSS, Hoyt served in Senior Management and Chief Information Officer positions within various healthcare organizations and consultancy practices, including: IBM Healthlink Services; Martha Jefferson Health Services in Charlottesville, Va.; and First Data Health Systems Group.

Hoyt holds a BS/BA in Economics from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and an MHA from St. Louis University in Missouri. He is a HIMSS Fellow and a Fellow and active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

John H. Daniels, FACHE, FHIMSS, CPHIMS, CHPS
Vice President of Healthcare Organizational Services

John H. Daniels is Vice President of Healthcare Organizational Services at HIMSS. He brings a wealth of expertise in healthcare program management with specializations in hospital administration and healthcare information technology. In his current role, Daniels leverages his relationship-building abilities to forge valuable partnerships with industry executives, grow organizational and corporate memberships, support the HIMSS Leaders & Innovators Program and the Senior Executive Community, and support HIMSS Analytics Primary Market Research services. He is actively involved in every stage of program development, from devising strategic approaches for outreach, marketing, and communications to ensuring members receive the full value of membership benefits.

Daniels is also active in teaching others about healthcare IT issues and trends serving as Adjunct Professor for the graduate program in health administration at Pfeiffer University and serving on the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Board of Governors Examination Review Course faculty.

Before joining HIMSS, Daniels served as Senior VP and CIO at Evolvent Technologies, Inc., and as Vice Chair and Financial Director on the HIMSS Board of Directors. Previously, Daniels served as CIO at the U.S. Air Force Academy Hospital, VP of IT Operations for Harris County Hospital District, and in other healthcare positions throughout his career.

Daniels holds a BS in Computer Science from West Texas A&M University and a MS in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University. He is a HIMSS and ACHE Fellow.
